PLoS ONE Goes Live with Editorial Manager

August 13, 2010, North Andover, MA, USA – Aries is pleased to announce that the Public Library of Science has gone live with Editorial Manager for its PLoS ONE publication, with additional PLoS publications to follow in the coming months.

The system launch in July, 2010 was the result of close collaboration between the Aries and PLoS teams. Commenting on the project, Nikolais Linsteadt, Publishing Systems Analyst at PLoS, said “Editorial Manager offers additional standardization across journals and better control over settings and roles; and Preprint Manager enables full integration and control of the production process”. Lyndon Holmes, President and founder of Aries added: “Editorial Manger is the world’s most configurable peer review system and we are delighted to see it applied to open access workflows pioneered by the Public Library of Science. PLoS ONE receives a large number of submissions covering a broad range of subjects, so Editorial Manager helps administer matching manuscripts to appropriate external editors.” See the PLoS announcement: http://everyone.plos.org.
