ATLAS’ Successful EMUG Japan

EMUG2014-JapanEditorial Manager’s Japanese distributor, ATLAS Co. Ltd., held their annual EMUG meeting October 3 at TKP Garden City Takebashi.

“In EMUG Japan, we value mutual communications between publications and ATLAS, publications and Aries, and among publications,” commented Koji Koike, manager of ATLAS’ Editorial Manager team. “Through the direct communication with participants, we realized EMUG JAPAN is a very meaningful meeting not only for Journal Offices but also ourselves once more.”

Aries Systems Corporation’s Tony Alves, Director of Product Management, attended along with more than 30 others. The meeting included talks on industry initiatives, upcoming EM features and releases and an introduction to reports presented by ATLAS staff.

“It was clear to me, based on how enthusiastic and engaged the participants were, that our partners at ATLAS have done a great job building customer satisfaction,” Tony commented. “The participants seemed to really enjoy the opportunity to discuss their workflow issues and challenges.”

Spring City Culture International Group Uses Editorial Manager to Add Value to STM Journals

SCC_LOGOVRD-JournalCoverSpring City Culture International Group, Singapore-based publishers, benefit from EM’s reviewer discovery tools, and workflow data export for analysis by PRE.

“We looked at different options in the market for launching the journals, but we found Editorial Manager was the most comprehensive and user-friendly system that could fit our requirements,” commented Louisa Ho, Marketing and Communications Executive. “The various workflow charts which we conceived for our journal could be excellently executed with this system. For example, accessing reviewers based on classification matches makes the process of reviewer selection easy.”

“Editorial Manager’s partnership with STRIATUS/JBJS allows publishers to send EM data to PRE to implement a new metric to evaluate the quality of peer review. This ultimately serves to improve the quality of the publications,” Louisa added. “The technical support provided by Aries is exceptional, answering all our queries tirelessly.”
