EAR Tip: Cleaning Up Shared Reports from the EAR Menu

If the list of shared reports in EAR is not properly maintained, it can lead to a cluttered reporting menu overtime. As most saved reports can only be removed by its creator, keeping a clean EAR menu can be difficult for many journals. Follow these helpful steps to pull reports that identify the owner of each of the shared reports, allowing the journal to consult on its relevance and request its deletion if needed.

What to Watch: Identity Confidence Check

Editors and journal office staff often rely only on their personal knowledge and intuition to verify Author and Reviewer identities, which can be time consuming and unreliable. Identity Confidence Check (ICC) helps Editors evaluate unknown researchers in Editorial Manager to help safeguard against potential instances of fraudulent peer review and questionable authorship.
