Did you know? Editorial Manager searches bibliographies in ORCID

Question-markEditorial Manager is tightly integrated with the ORCID database. In fact, from within Editorial Manager, an editor with the appropriate permissions can conduct an author search against the ORCID database with the click of a mouse. The editor immediately is presented with a complete list of the author’s publications, grants, and/or patents. This information can be used to verify identity, select appropriate reviewers, identify potential invited manuscripts, and more.

Version 10.0 now in beta testing

v10Editorial Manager (EM) and ProduXion Manager (PM) Version 10.0, now in beta testing, represent substantial advancement in workflow systems technology.

Following are just a few of the new features to be released with v10.0:

  • With a couple of mouse clicks, EM can conveniently “Fetch” a user’s or co-author’s ORCID by performing an API-facilitated search of the ORCID database.
  • In support of ICMJE requirements, response-sensitive multi-level questions can be customized for authors and co-authors.
  • Journals can ask co-authors to complete an Author Questionnaire via an emailed link to EM.
  • In addition to using the manual option, editorial offices can now configure EM toautomatically add email replies to EM-generated email into a submission’s “History.”
