Aries Speaking: Reflecting on CSE 2019

Aries is pleased to have exhibited at and sponsored the Wi-Fi for the Council of Science Editors annual conference earlier this month. Aries Senior Business Systems Analyst Caroline Webber presented during the Update on the Manuscript Exchange Common Approach (MECA) Initiative panel session at CSE 2019.
“The CSE conference is a great opportunity to connect with and learn from colleagues in the scientific publishing space,” said Webber. Read more about her reflection and thoughts on the meeting’s theme, sessions and community.

Watch Now: Personal Correspondence History

Personal Correspondence HistoryCorrespondence history that is stored in multiple locations makes it difficult for Editors and journal staff to quickly locate communications and take relevant action. To save staff time, Editorial Manager version 16.0 introduces personal correspondence history. This enables Editors and staff to find EM-generated correspondence by name without needing to know the manuscript number. It also allows users to view all system correspondence for which they are the primary recipient from a central location. Watch the video.

16.0 Feature Spotlight: Configurable Email Drop-Box

External email correspondence can be added to Editorial Manager using an email drop-box. Editors may wish to add external communications by forwarding emails to the EM drop-box, allowing the system to automatically add these files to the correspondence history.
In Editorial Manager version 16.0, this drop-box functionality is further improved by allowing users to configure the drop-box email address so that it is more identifiable and memorable. Read more on this and other 16.0 features in the release notes.
