Did You Know?

EditorSummaryReminder-screenshotDid you know that Editor Roles receiving assignments in EM can be set up with Editor Summary Reminders? All “to-do” actions and manuscripts are conveniently summarized into a single email.

Deep links within the reminder take editors directly to new assignments, or papers ready for decision. These helpful messages can also contain text from system merge fields.

Editor Summary Reminders are configured within Policy Manager, and can be sent, based on specific reminder criteria, at a desired frequency. For help configuring, contact your Account Coordinator.

Thieme on Reviewer Discovery

TheSurgeryJournal-CoverThe Surgery Journal (TSJ), a new Open Access title from international scientific and medical publishers Thieme, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, enjoys a positive market response following its May 2015 launch.

Receiving many more submissions than expected since launch, the journal’s management board is making full use of the Reviewer Discovery feature in EM. TSJ is Thieme’s 17th journal to deploy EM.

As all submitted papers are subject to peer review, TSJ relies on the tool to automatically match manuscripts with reviewers drawn from a pool of over 3.5 million curated scholar profiles with email addresses.
