Did you know? Cross-journal toggle in Editorial Manager

Did you know that since 2009, Editors have been able to toggle between multiple journals of the same publisher with a single click within EM? This functionality saves time and avoids the need to log in to each journal separately. It only takes a few minutes to configure, and there is no extra charge.

New Aries customer: National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Aries Systems is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is now a customer.

NREL is the only national laboratory solely dedicated to advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies from concept to commercial application. For 35 years, NREL innovations, analysis, and expertise have enabled the emergence of a U.S. clean energy industry and led to numerous success stories from across the laboratory.

Katharina Kreissig interviewed in recent Springer newsletter

Katharina Kreissig, Director of Global Journals Editorial Office / Production at Springer Science+Business Media, was interviewed for an article entitled “Online Tools and Tips for Authors to Speed-up Peer Review” in which she mentions some Editorial Manager (EM) features. With more than 1,300 journals using EM, Springer is one of the most expert users of the system and provides regular input to the Aries development process. For example, the EM functionality enabling journal administrators to easily copy article types and roles was prompted by Springer and other customer feedback.

Maney deploys Editorial Manager to humanities and social science journals

Fast-growing Maney Publishing is building on its long-standing relationship with Aries Systems by deploying the Editorial Manager (EM) peer review system to some 40 humanities and social science (HSS) publications in the near future. EM is currently available for Maney’s entire list of STM journals and interest in using online submission and refereeing has been growing amongst HSS journals for some years. This is a major development.
