Emerald Group Publishing begins piloting Editorial Manager to support
submission and peer review workflows this summer. emerald

The pilot will include 3-5 journals. The first journal deployment launches in August, with the other journals following shortly after.

New launches from Taylor & Francis and MIT Press

MIT Press’s newly launched Network Neuroscience began using Editorial
Manager to support submission and peer review workflows this month.

2016-07-25_13-28-23 Taylor & Francis’ Smart Science has been using Editorial Manager to successfully power submission and peer review workflows. In particular, the journal has benefited from EM’s Reviewer Discovery integration, putting over 3.5 million reviewers within invitation’s reach.

Wolters Kluwer launches EM for books

In June, five Wolters Kluwer Health titles launched using
Editorial Manager and ProduXion Manager’s books
functionality. Enhanced support for books workflows
is part of version 13.0.

13.0 Feature Spotlight: Warn if author list changes at revision

Warning Version 13.0 includes functionality that will warn editorial offices if the author list is modified between revisions. This gives editors in-workflow visibility into changes that may require further validation, via icon display and a link to view changes.

Editorial offices also benefit from new invited author functionality, including automated reminders, automatic assignment to schedule groups for invited content, and the ability to drag and drop a list of authors to initiate invitations.

Aries Systems is among organizations planning #PeerReviewWeek16

Aries is proud to participate as a planning organization for Peer Review Week 2016. Running from

September 19 – 25, this year’s theme is Recognition for Review, exploring all aspects of how those

participating in review activity – in publishing, grant review, conference submissions, promotion and

Planned activities include virtual and in-person events including webinars, videos, interviews, and social media activities designed to improve understanding of the principles of peer review and how it is practiced within the scholarly community.

Cover Editorial Manager and ProduXion Manager allow for the configuration of
custom merge fields. This means that journal administrators can create
customized blocks of text, including logos and links, and pull them into ad
hoc and template letters using familiar merge field functionality.
