Vote for Peer Review Week 2025 Theme!

This year marks the eleventh annual Peer Review Week (PRW)!  A community-led social event, Peer Review Week celebrates and explores the role that peer review plays in shaping the research and scholarly publishing landscape. Each year is dedicated to a unique theme, with recent years sparking conversations on technology, integrity, diversity, transparency, recognition, and quality. Peer Review Week is back for 2025 – and will be held on September 15-19!

Cast Your Vote for PRW 2025 Theme!

In our commitment to ensure that Peer Review Week effectively addresses pressing issues and accurately reflects the needs of the academic ecosystem, the PRW Steering Committee is actively seeking input from the global research community. Last week, the Steering Committee released a poll with a shortlist of potential themes for the 2025 event, listed below. We invite publishers, institutions, societies, researchers, technology providers, and other stakeholders in the scholarly ecosystem to make your voice heard by casting a vote for their favorite theme to determine the focus of Peer Review Week 2025!

  • Future Proofing Peer Review for Tomorrow’s Research
  • Rethinking Peer Review in the AI Era
  • Cultivating Growth and Mentorship in Peer Review
  • Communication & Collaboration in Peer Review

Responses remain confidential and the results will be formally announced in the coming weeks. The poll closes on Saturday, May 31 – vote now!
