Community Poll: Cast your Vote for Peer Review Week 2024’s Theme!

This year marks the tenth annual Peer Review Week (PRW)!  A community-led social event, Peer Review Week celebrates and explores the role that peer review plays in shaping the research and scholarly publishing landscape. Each year is dedicated to a unique theme, with recent years sparking conversations on integrity, diversity, transparency, recognition, and quality.

Cast Your Vote For PRW 2024 Theme!

In our commitment to ensure that Peer Review Week effectively addresses pressing issues and accurately reflects the needs of the academic ecosystem, the PRW Steering Committee is actively seeking input from the global research community. Last week, the Steering Committee released a poll with a shortlist of potential themes for the 2024 event, listed below. We invite publishers, institutions, societies, researchers, technology providers, and other stakeholders in the scholarly ecosystem to make your voice heard by casting a vote for their favorite theme to determine the focus of Peer Review Week 2024!

  • Innovation and Technology in Peer Review
  • Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) in Peer Review
  • Ethical Integrity in Peer Review
  • Optimizing the Research Experience in Peer Review

Responses remain confidential, and the results (along with the dates for PRW 2024!) will be formally announced in the coming weeks. The poll closes on Friday, May 17 – vote now!
